Overview

There is level access at the front door right through to the ice rink. Easy to get to and easy to watch my pal's son skating on the ice!

Transport & Parking

It's a short distance - around 200m - from the nearest bus stop. There is plenty of parking outside but didin't notice if there were any dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces.

Access

There is level access throughout. The front doors were a bit heavy but manageable. Once you enter there is a rubber floor and there is step free access to the side of the ice rink, where there are plenty of places to watch the action from!

Toilets

There is an accessible loo which you have to ask the staff for a key to use. We didn't use it so can't comment on what it was like.

Staff

Staff that we encountered were all helpful and enthusiastic. It was also great to see lots of lessons going on on the ice.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Murrayfield Ice rink has its own Ice Hockey team which play regularly. There is also a curling rink next door which my pal tells me is wheelchair accessible and is home to the recently established Lothian Wheelchair Curling Club.
