Overview
The new Marks and Spencer’s in Oban is very accessible with good disabled parking, disabled toilets, wide aisles and friendly staff!
Transport & Parking
There are four disabled bays by the shop entrance. These had plenty of space to get a wheelchair out of the car with dropped kerbs.
Access
There are slopes to get into the shop which are not too steep. The shop is all on one level with wide aisles giving plenty of wheelchair space. There are several wheelchair suitable trolleys at the entrance that you can clip on to your wheelchair. There were plenty of staff around who were helpful and could reach things from higher shelves. Nothing was too high it couldn’t been seen from a wheelchair. I didn’t spot any seating in the store.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet in the store on the left of the shop entrance. It was clean and well sign posted.
Staff
Staff were very friendly and helpful. There were quite a few staff members around the store if you needed assistance. Everyone spoke to me as well as my PA.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is quite a large selection of gluten free food available and a couple of lactose free items.
