Overview
Not being sure how to find the hotel it was easier than expected. Head for the Apple store and then go around the corner. I was surprised at the size of the hotel and how good the facilities are.
Transport & Parking
I travel by public transport so the location was ideal. Princes Street is well served by buses to loads of destinations, a railway station across the road from the hotel and a tram stop just around the corner in St Andrew Square.
Access
Access in and around the building: Once it had been explained how to find the building; my friend and I entered the lobby and took one of the large lifts up to the reception area. The reception was bright and light. I liked the bar and lounge area as there was plenty of space and not too much furniture for me to bump into as a visually impaired person. Access in the accessible bedrooms and bathrooms: The accessible bedroom was bright and light. The windows providing some welcome natural light to brighten the room. Access in the dining area: The dining area is in the bar and lounge area.
Toilets
There was an accessible toilet by the bar and lounge area.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I thought the hotel was well located and easy for me to move around in as a visually impaired person. I liked the thought that there were plenty of accessible rooms rather than just the normal one or two.
