Overview
I went to Pitlochry with friends for a lunch and a coffee and we struggled to find somewhere accessible with an allergy-friendly menu, I’m glad we found this lovely cafe further down the high street. They had gluten and dairy free cakes and soy milk, the food was great and the staff were so helpful and friendly
Transport & Parking
There are bus stops on the main street. We parked in the council car park on the right as you come into Pitlochry. The paths are narrow but otherwise not problematic
Access
There was a small step to get in, my chair would have been able to climb it (with a curb climber for up to 6”) with a bit of a bump but my friend went in to ask if they had a ramp and they actually had another door without a step which they opened for us. This was better as there are two steps separating the restaurant, if you were to come in the main door in a wheelchair then you’d have to go down the steps to get to the toilet. They had about 6-8 tables, one 4 chair and the others were smaller. You need to go up to order which is in the area with reduced access so my friend went up to order for us. The tables were at a good height and I was able to get through to the toilet without people needing to move which is always nice!
Toilets
The toilet is accessible and through one door whete there are seats as there is just one toilet. It is quite big, I could turn around in my powerchair and theres space at the right side of the toilet. There were grab rails. The floor was quite wet and there was a wet floor sign. It was otherwise clean and tidy
Staff
The staff were really friendly and helpful, they opened the other door so we could get in and cleaned the first table so we could sit there which worked out great.
