Steps to Better Accesability
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Hearing Aid, Wheelchair
Overview
There is a library, shop and cafe available with no steps or blockages prohibiting access past the many close and well placed disabled parking spots. There is both a ramp and stairs up to the library and a flat and open gate from the shop to the library although the gate may be too thin for a wheelchair. The staff are friendly and all three venues are spaced out so are easy to negotiate.
Transport & Parking
close and plenty. lots of parking that is close to the shop and is flat and easy to go from the spots to either.
Access
clear symbols and words are on the doors and signs doors are wide and automatic and the whole shop is wide and easy to navigate your way round. The gate to the library from the main shop may be too small for full wheelchair and the following path is also pretty thin.
Toilets
only one toilet but was clean and had many ramps and much space.
Staff
the staff were lovely and happy to help, they were friendly and happy to chat. they also asked attentively if we needed help and if they could offer or get us anything.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
would very much recommend the visit- a nice way to spend a few hours.
