Overview

Seeing the main changing room was up a flight of steps, I was ready to leave. Then we noticed an upstairs, then we saw the lift. So we asked was there level access to fitting rooms upstairs - yes. But actually there's an extra large cubicle with two grab rails and enough room for wheelchair. Staff member was happy for husband to come in with me to help and offered to assist if we called her.

Transport & Parking

Guildford's never going to get a great rating on that hill. However there are blue badge spaces outside M and S if you're lucky!

Access

The shop is level and easy to wheel round (as easy as any shop!). There's a lift to the first floor with room for wheelchair and carer. I reckon my small mobility scooter would have fitted in, just. First floor had more space to manoeuvre. Upstairs fitting room v spacious with nice rails, bars and lowered clothes pegs. What a shame it wasn't downstairs so easier to get to. And why not signposted from downstairs?!

Lady upstairs really helpful. No one downstairs thought to tell me about the fitting room though - even though I had clothes on my lap!

Monsoon should provide a sign promoting the fact there's an accessible fitting room and showing its location! It's a positive thing so tell people!
