This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Mobility Scooter
Overview
A great day out. The venue is very hilly and maybe you should consider the free hire of a robust mobility scooter (booking essential) and it is just £10 deposit (bring ID). The venue is accessible and they are making considerable efforts to accommodate less able of all types. You can watch my Youtube based vlog (public: 5th May 2017) where I go around and show you the park from my perspective of a mobility scooter. Disabled parking and toilets available. Some uneven surfaces but mostly tarmac. Display cages are a little way from where you stand, but display areas with plain glass are provided. It's 65 Acres so quite spread out and a lot of walking involved. Downside is Carers pay too: £9 for disabled people and £9 for carers. Adult price is £12.
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking bays at the right of the entrance. some are on gravel / slightly muddy.
Access
Plenty of seating around the park. Lots of hills and 65 acre site. Paths are mostly tarmac but some gravel and uneven surfaces. Some information signs are a little high for wheelchair users and smallish print. The cafe at the moment is a bit tight for space, but this is to change. Doorways to the shop is really heavy. The cafe doors open out and difficult solo.
Toilets
sufficient space, but maybe a good driver will have no problems moving around however I had fun with reversing out of the toilet near the cafe. Bars and rails. a chair in the toilet.
Staff
very helpful staff

We used one of their mobility scooters. Cannot take them into the cafe or toilets. Only negative to add is that there are no alarms in the disabled loos. Prices increasing from 1 Feb 2019 but still amazing value.
