Overview
This is part of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill group and is a few minutes of the motorway as you enter the Town of Moffat and is aimed at the tourist trade that passes the area. They sell a wide range of goods from clothing for adults and children as well as a range of Scottish clothing Kilts etc . They also stock a range of food and have an area that is for Whisky. There is also a good size café but we did not use this during our visit. The store is laid out in sections as you would expect and has good signage for each area however there is not a lot of space and if you are in a wheelchair it can be an issue to move between display in some areas such as men's wear.
Transport & Parking
There are Blue Badge spaces to the left hand side of the main door as you go in unsure about public transport in the are but the venue is popular with the holiday coach tour firms that you see on the motorway
Access
Access is via two wide doors these were open during our visit and staff at the door to direct people to the café area and toilets etc. The main passage or walk ways around the venue had space there were a few bottle neck hold ups however there was around 5 coaches in the parking area and a number of cars. The space between the displays in some areas meant you had to go in a roundabout way to get there but they are trying to show people a much stock as they can
Toilets
This is located near the rear of the venue and is well sign posted with in the venue staff were also pointing people in the direction of the toilets. The accessible toilet is next to the ladies and gents toilets and is the first one you come to. The door opens outwards and has grip rails on both sides there is room for a care giver if required. The toilet was clean and bright however you need to be careful as you open the door people stand in this area waiting for friends and family to come out of the toilet and you can hit someone with the door if they are standing outside it. People think doors open inwards
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful and would go and pick up something if someone had missed an offer such as if you got 2 boxes of sweets the 3 box was free idea. They were also happy to talk about the range of goods and give advice on sizes
Anything else you wish to tell us?
These type of places often sell of end of line goods from the group which was in one bargain area and we found out a few people were very happy with what they had caught.
