We Are Living on a Star with Eline McGeorge
Norwegian artist Eline McGeorge talks about her practice with an emphasis on her video work With the Free Rider into the Oil Age and Beyond (2014). The work was produced for the group exhibition We Are Living on a Star at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in 2014, which Hannah Ryggen was also a part of.
Free Rider jointly references Ryggen’s tapestry We Are Living on a Star (1958) and Harry Martinson’s epic science fiction poem Aniara (1956), among other related topics.
