MOD Pizza, 37 Bond Street.
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
The entrance to the eatery had a large lip in the doorway when it opened, which has since been smoothed over to allow wheelchair access. Inside there is room to manoeuvre between tables, and the seating arrangements are relatively flexible. Some of the seats are tall stools at bar-height tables which are not suitable for wheelchairs, but the rest are at a normal height. The tables outside are all of a normal height, and don’t block the doorway. The counter is quite high which can make communicating your order problematic, but there is the option to order online and collect in store.
Transport & Parking
MOD Pizza lacks it’s own car park, but the city centre car parks are close by and have abundant disabled parking. The venue is also near the train station and several bus stops on major routes. The eatery is on a shallow hill with smooth, well-maintained pavements making pedestrian access ideal.
Access
Toilets
The disabled toilet is on the ground floor, while all other toilets are down a flight of steps. This does encourage people to use the disabled toilet needlessly. Full changing facilities are not available here, but there is a full changing station in The Core, a nearby shopping centre.
Staff
The staff are friendly and approachable, and are happy to provide any assistance needed.
