Overview
A small, busy, popular cafe with indoor and outdoor seating almost directly opposite the entrance to Glastonbury Abbey. It serves home cooked food including cakes.
Transport & Parking
Glastonbury does not have a train station. I took the 376 bus from Bristol which took about 1.5 hours. The cafe is a minute away from the bus stop in both directions.
Access
Outside there are free standing tables and chairs. The entrance has one small step, the cafe is on a corner with a single, manual door, which was open when I visited. Inside there are some free standing tables and chairs. The tables are close together so not a lot of space to mauver a wheelchair. The counter, which is at standing height is at the back of the cafe. I had to stand a few minutes while I queued to be served without anything to lean on, apart from that I found it accessible.
Toilets
I did not check out the toilets.
Staff
Staff were very helpful and friendly. They were proactive, and brought my food and drink to my table without having to ask for assistance.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The Victoria sponge is amazing. Generous portion with plenty of jam and buttercream icing. Perfect. Very nice cafe and excellent location by Market Place, good stop to people watch and have some food or drink and watch the world go by. Definitely would go back.
