Overview

Very friendly and welcoming club, fantastic staff and facilities. Good space for parking and disabled access. Very accommodating for functions, parties or social drinks. Members only club, however non-members can be signed in, and welcomed in the club.

Transport & Parking

I drove to the club and parked outside the main front entrance. There is also additional parking at the rear of the property which includes several disabled parking bays. The club in on a public transport route, with a bus stop just outside. Very good location.

Access

Access to the club is a choice of two entrances. The main entrance at the front has several steps up to the door. Disabled access is round the rear of the property. Entrance leads straight into the snooker hall, which is flat, there is one step upto the bar area, however a ramp is readily available next to the step. There is seating around the edge of the pool hall, should you need to stop and rest, and seating immediately up the step/ramp in the bar area. Members use an electronic code system to gain access, however this is at eye height to someone not using a wheelchair. All areas of the club are on one level, with plenty of space to maneuver throughout the lounge and bar.

Toilets

The toilet is located through 1 set of doors, on the ground floor. It is well lit and spacious, giving room to maneuver once inside, and has plenty of room for a carer. It was very clean and tidy, well equip with supplies, grab rails and an alarm system. There is also baby changing facilities available.

Staff

The staff are wonderful, exceptionally helpful and have a great rapport with members. There are a lot of events and theme nights which are advertised and are arranged and managed by the staff. They are very welcoming to new and non-members and were always ready to assist in any way. They have facilities to hold functions, parties and provide a menu and catering service.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I would certainly recommend visiting, however it is worth another mention that this is a members only club, with non members having to be signed in by a member. Facilities and club is well maintained and looked after, with great social events being held. The grounds are well looked after by members, and has a great outside space at the rear of the venue. There are also a range of activities held at the club, such as bowls (lawn out the rear), snooker and darts
