Overview
Merry Hill shopping centre came as a welcome surprise as it was easier to get around than expected. With parking close by, big aisles, lifts and good toilets it was time to shop!
Transport & Parking
Following signs for accessible parking we found the Blue Badge parking by the cinema and opposite one of the entrances to Merry Hill. With lovely big bays it was no problem parking the WAV without the usually bits sticking over the lines of the space. A short walk, cross the road at the pelican crossing and wheel in through the automatic doors and the adventure begins. Merry Hill also has the retail park areas of the site where there are dedicated blue badge bays in these too. If you plan to come by bus the centre is well served by several bus stops dependent upon where you want to visit.
Access
Getting around the shopping centre was easy as the floors are very smooth and lovely to wheel on. There are several lifts o take you between floors and most doors you encounter, very few, are automated.
Toilets
The accessible loo I visited on the ground floor was large, opened with a radar key, and spotlessly clean. Well signposted too; from the main shopping concourse.
Staff
I didn't speak to many but one very helpful lady helped me with the loo door and the radar key.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Enjoyed a couple of hours exploring and shopping. Very calm and peaceful experience too.
