Overview
The hotel itself is lovely with friendly staff. However, travelling with a guest in a wheelchair here can be problematic. There are roughly 6 sets of doors (some small double doors) to negotiate from the entrance to the rooms (via narrow lift and hallways). If there are 2 carers this will not be an issue but an independent wheelchair guest or just one carer will struggle to push the chair whilst holding the doors open without the help of occasional passing strangers. The hotel manager arranged for a heater for my mother as she was very cold due to the time of year and her limited mobility/poor health. I also had a family emergency at home during my stay and had to leave a day early and the reception staff refunded the missed day without any hesitation. I was glad to leave though as I was exhausted and managed to damage my shoulder with the strain of negotiating the chair through the doors. So the staff and location are lovely just a shame about the hotel layout. Because of this experience though I am now very wary of booking hotels that claim to be fully wheelchair accessible as in practicality I have found many with this claim a struggle. Advice received from Visit Scotland is to call the hotel in future prior to booking to check any issues such as this.

There are disabled spaces near the front of the hotel

There is a lift to the rooms but doors are a nightmare to negotiate for wheelchair users and carers.
Toilets
Staff
Staff very friendly but could not help of course with the hotel layout and lack of automatic doors.
