Good place to stay in Madrid

Overview
I want to praise this hotel particularly because it had a family room with an accessible bathroom - something which can be a real pain to find, as it's usually assumed that disabled people won't have children... It had step free access to the communal areas and our bedroom, and was clean, comfortable, central and good value for money.
Transport & Parking
It was fine for our taxi to drop us off right outside, and the hotel was completely cool with having my rented mobility scooter delivered there, and with charging it overnight in reception each night. Around central Madrid, dropped kerbs were generally fine and the buses were all accessible.
Access
There was step-free access at the hotel for communal areas and for our room, and we had a decent accessible bathroom with a step-free shower and shower seat. While I was in the room, I was using a small three-wheeled walker, and it did occur to me that it could be quite cramped in there to get around with a wheelchair, but I think the hotel staff would find a way to help by moving furniture if asked.
Toilets
Our accessible bathroom was clean, attractive and modern.
Staff
They offered just the right amount of help and were cool with taking my hired scooter to charge in reception each night.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I can't see a way to review the whole of Madrid on Euan's Guide, but I found it a really good place to visit as a disabled person with a small child. The streets were easy to get around, the buses were good, the parks were excellent and the museums we visited had good access. Although it was clear we weren't going to get much in the way of step-free access or disabled toilets from most of the restaurants, there were some that had them, and for the others, we could eat outdoors close to our hotel. Talking of which, you get a lot more hotel for your money in Madrid than you would in much of the UK!
