Overview
The Mercure princess street is in a very central location and a short walk from Waverley station. The hotel has two manual ramps to enter the hotel. There is also a stairlift which is used a standby. This lift requires staff assistance to operate it. There is an accessible room with a double bed on the 3rd floor. This room also has an accessible wet floor bathroom. There is also a small accessible toilet in the hotel reception.
Transport & Parking
To my knowledge there is limited parking available near the hotel due to its city centre location. However, the hotel is about a ten minute walk from Waverley station.
Access
The hotel has ramp and stairlift access at the entrance to the hotel. You will need staff assistance with this.
Toilets
The accessibile room has its own accessible toilet and there is a small accessible toilet in the reception area which is very restricted for space.
Staff
The staff are generally very helpful Craig and Billy from housekeeping were kind enough to take the wheels off one of the hotel beds to adjust the height for me to make it easier to access.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The only thing that let the visit down was that the shower seat in the accessibile bathroom is cracked making it uncomfortable to sit on I reported this fault on my first visit about 6 months ago and on this the second visit it is still faulty.
