Overview
Traditional tea rooms with garden with step free access, serving lunches, cakes and scones.
Transport & Parking
Colyton village where the tea rooms is located is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from Colyton Tram Station.
Access
The tea rooms are located on a noticeable slope but the entrance is step free. Inside there are free standing tables and chairs but there is not a lot of space between the tables. There is also a garden, which I didn't see during my visit, which the website says they will open the back gate to let you in if you require step free access.
Toilets
I didn't use these so unable to comment.
Staff
Staff were friendly, welcoming and service was very efficient.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
For food I would give this place 5/5. The café serves a variety of meals as well as homemade cakes and scones. I visited at lunch time and had cheese scone which was served with cream cheese and pickle and then for afters I could not resist their rose and pistachio cake served with clotted cream. The food was utterly delicious. They were rather busy and judging from the conversations there are a lot of regular visitors.
