Overview

I recently visited the Mega maitland, womanswear clothing shop on 26/5/17. I am in a manual wheelchair. The access was quite tight. The young girl who serve me was very helpful to begin with. I saw some items that I would like to buy and the girl took them to the counter for me. I was just about to pay by card for the items. Then I noticed that they had a small charity box for 'beach wheelchairs'. So I found some change. The girl behind the counter saw me looking at the charity box and started saying how she had worked for the woman who had started the organisation. I thought that this was fantastic. Then another older woman behind the counter started chipping in. I told them both how great that was. I had the change in my hand just ready to put it in the charity box and pay by card for my items. Then the olderwoman screwed up her face at me and viciously said "are you not going to pay money for beach wheelchairs!". I turned around and said to her that "yes, I was. That I actually already had the money in my hand and that I was about to do so. I was just about to pay for my items as well". I was horrified. I quick as I could put the money in the charity box, paid for my items and left. Bad bad experience. I hope that this does not happen to other vulnerable members of society.

They clearly do not have or show any respect or basic human manners towards customers especially those who are disabled. Regardless of what they imply or say.
