Overview

I go here regularly as part of the Golf in Society charity which supports people with dementia, physical disabilities etc to access golf. The new electric front doors are great and I can enter without assistance now. I suggest you check the toiiet if you use a wheelchair though. The disabled toilet , although perfect for the ambulent disabled, is only just wide enough for a wheelchair to go straight in, then exit backwards. If using a wheelchair, you will need someone outside to help you shut toilet door behind you, then open it. There are some steps in some areas eg to access the covered Golf range. Golf Academy Staff are very approachable and helpful.

Transport & Parking

Blue Badge parking spaces. Often full but other areas near entrance can be used safely by a couple of cars.

Access

There are new wide electronic sliding front doors for easy access. A huge improvement on the previous heavy double doors. Flat access to the cafe area and disabled toilet. Stairs to the driving range.

Toilets

The one disabled toilet opens out into the main corridor. I could get into it in my wheelchair, but could not close the door behind me. I just had enough room to stand and do the 180 degrees transfer. To open the door to leave, I would have to have climbed over the wheelchair. You will need someone stationed outside and shout to get out.
