Overview

Meadowsweet bungalow was a massive sigh of relief for us. If you are looking for nature, history,peace and space during your stay this is the place. We felt as if we were being looked after from the very start of our visit. To arrive somewhere where there's enough space to move around safely, every possible piece of equipment you could ever need, all sparkling clean was wonderful, never mind the treats that Ruth left us in the kitchen! The place oozed thoughtfulness.

The location of Meadowsweet is really good; there is a special atmosphere in this area with its prehistoric monuments and Dunadd hillfort. During our short stay we easily drove to Lochgilphead, Kilmartin where there's a great museum ( check opening times as it was closed for refurbishment in 2021), Campbelltown and Crinan. There was also the Artmap Argyll Open Studios taking place at the end of August showcasing the work of local artists.
