Overview
Access to the library is fairly good with disabled parking outside, ramped access, automatic doors, and an accessible toilet.
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking bays are immediately outside the front door. Can be busy at some times of day.
Access
Disabled access is good. There is a ramp to the main door and the entrance door is a wide and automatic. The inner library doors are wide and also automated. There is plenty of space to move around and seating areas. The information desk is easy to get to and is low enough to be comfortable for wheelchair users. There is a lift to take people to other floors if they are attending meetings in the meeting rooms.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is accessed from the main library by going through two doors. It is clean, spacious and equipped with grab rails.
Staff
Staff are very helpful and willing to assist where required.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A useful community resource that does more than just books. There's a good selection of audio books, computer and internet access, as well as other Council services like concessionary travel. The library also has accessible meeting rooms where community events take place. The lobby has a photograph machine which is easy to use and handy if you are able to get in it. There is a large information board in the lobby displaying local information.
