Overview
I was at McDiarmid Park for the match between Dumbarton and Inverness CT in the Irn Bru Cup Final. This would be my first time attending a match at McDiarmid Park and I will definitely go back again if Caley Thistle are playing there in the future. The views from your wheelchair space is one of the best views from a football ground in Scotland that I have been too. Great staff, great views and great day out.
Transport & Parking
The stadium is on the western edge of Perth and is easily accessible from both the city bypass and surrounding streets. A few disabled spaces outside the west stand.
Access
You go through a door and go past the disabled toilet and your seat is right there.
Toilets
There is a disabled toilet but I didn't use the toilet as it was very dirty.
Staff
The staff were great.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Booking of wheelchair spaces should be done as early as possible in the week prior to the match. please contact the ticket office of your own club (in my case the best club in the world) who in turn will advise st johnstone (MacDiarmid park). although this method of pre-booking is recommended to ensure that the facilities are not over-subscribed, st johnstone will sell wheelchair-user/carer tickets from their ticket office on the day of the game subject to availability. when i ordered my tickets, st johnstone also sent me a accessible parking badge without me asking. very impressive from the start.
