Overview
Mathilde's opened in 2018 and has great access. It is an extension of the Heaton Cooper gallery and you can view artwork as you dine. The food has a Scandinavian influence and they also do a great range of more traditional cakes, drinks and snacks. My mum is in a wheelchair and uses a wide walking frame and we managed well in the disabled toilet, there was enough space for my mum, her wheelchair, frame and carer. There is a ramp in to the dining space and then is flat throughout. On a warm day there is an outside terrace. Grasmere has parking in various places in the village and there is some roadside parking also. Grasmere village is flat and easy to negotiate. There are also a couple of miles with stiles routes around the village.
Transport & Parking
There are various places to park around the village with disabled spaces. There is also road side parking.
Access
There is a ramp in to cafe and enough space for us to manoeuvre around. The venue is flat once inside.
Toilets
The toilet is modern and with enough space for my mum, her wheelchair, walking frame and a carer.
