Overview
Visited the hall for Sunday lunch. Disabled parking just outside. Ramped access via the side door. Plenty of space. Disabled toilet with pull cord. Amazing Sunday lunch and nice bar. The hall can be hired out for events, weddings, birthdays etc and has been open for sporting events too.
Transport & Parking
On multiple bus routes. Parking available on the road (pay and display - free for blue badge holders). 2 disabled parking spaces right outside.
Access
There are steps at the front of the building. There is a video doorbell / intercom for access. There is ramped access to the side of the building. I have suggested this door too has a video doorbell for easier disabled access. Inside the building is step free. The chairs are standard event seats. However they have a number of seats with a raised cushion for people with difficulty standing up.
Toilets
There is a large disabled toilet with handrails etc. There is an emergency pull cord. There is an easy to use lock (lift the handle).
Staff
The bar manager is amazing. She is so attentive and makes sure all guests have a great time. She is happy to help carry drinks to tables if needed and can provide water for assistance dogs (please bring your own bowl).
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The side entrance (with the ramped access) has a gate on both ends and can be used as a secure assistance dog spending area.
