Overview
We popped into Marmions Brasserie for a drink after a visit to Melrose Abbey. Nice service. It has an accessible toilet.
Transport & Parking
The nearest train station is Tweedbank. It is a step free station and the end of the line for trains coming from Edinburgh, which is about an hour away. Local buses serve Melrose and the restaurant is in the town centre, near the abbey.
Access
There is one step with a grab rail at the entrance. The restaurant is on the on the ground floor. There is free standing table and chairs.
Toilets
There was an accessible toilet. It had a manual door. Space was a little tight and it had the high chair stored in it. There were plenty of grab rails. It was very clean and tidy.
Staff
Staff were welcoming. They were fine about us just having drinks even though it was lunch time. Service was very good.
