Overview
Easy to get into the store and get around. There's enough space for a wheelchair throughout, however, the café on the ground floor is slightly cramped so I would recommend the larger café on the lower ground floor. Tasty food although a little pricey. Two decent sized lifts available. 2 disabled toilets available on lower ground floor only. Would reccomend.
Transport & Parking
New Pudsey Train station approximately 5 minutes away. There is a flat path all the way from the station to the store. This can get narrow in parts (see picture below). There is lighting for nights however, you do come along the railway line and there is lots of vegetation on your other side so may not be a good idea alone and in the dark! Lots of car parking spaces immediately outside Marks and Spencers. Approximately 40 disabled bays which are located in front of all 3 entrances.
Access
Wide automatic doors and no steps throughout the store. It is a pleasure to shop here. Aisles are spacious but the store can get busy particularly at the weekend. Induction loops are at the tills. Seats available by the changing rooms.
Toilets
There are 2 disabled toilet cubicles on the lower ground floor only. These are configured as ordinary wheelchair-accessible toilets. Large rooms with no obstacles. No nappy changing facilities in these toilets! There are also a few larger cubicles available in the main toilet blocks with numerous grab rails which may suit some people (see picture below). One slightly lower than normal hand dryer available here too. Emergency cords looked in working order and there was also an emergency button. Shame there are no toilets on the ground floor
Staff
Always polite staff here who go out of their way to help.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Good lighting and access to the changing rooms and the cash registers. Would recommend it as a shop and somewhere to get food/drink.
