Overview

I have been in this store, and had staff including management have no awareness of mobility issues, being left feeling unsafe and distressed.

Transport & Parking

Although there are blue badge spaces near the store, these are far to few in number and the majority of the time I have been unable to park there

Access

Level access, with separate door for wheelchair access. No easily accessible seating to rest, plus I found the lifts did not have a clear and easy pathway, particularly display units in the way.

Toilets

Yes there is an accessibility loo, however you need to know where to look for the toilets on the first floor, and need to negotiate the display units to get there.

Staff

Very poor, left after three separate lots of staff made my life more difficult. First group standing in the way with no awareness of me needing to get passed, blocking my way. Second person, management, turned right into my path without looking, and excused this unsafe practise, by saying she was busy looking after a customer, inexcusable for not paying attention. Third group were intent on sorting a display, darting across my path even although I had a very visible walking frame, so absolutely no awareness of mobility, balance or safety. Left distressed. Previously had a member of management, telling me that the momentum of the stocking cage meant she didn't have control of the cage. I lucky managed to stop, not fall over or get knocked over by the cage, she wasn't controlling. Down right dangerous. Left upset

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I don't feel safe in this store, as I have had repeated incidents where staff have not been paying attention to visibility disabled customers. These have not been one off incidents.
