This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Hearing Aid, Powerchair, Autism, Learning Disability
Overview
They’ve recently got a new accessibility lounge which includes a seating area, sensory room, changing place toilets and showers etc. the sensory room isn’t very well advertised I only discovered it because I’m a wheelchair user and they directed me in the accessibility lounge but I imagine if you have an invisible disability such as autism you would never know it existed. The ramp to get on the trains have improved since the passenger assist app existed. They are a lot more organised with making sure there is a ramp to get on and off the train
Transport & Parking
The tram is very close by and trams in Manchester are very wheelchair accessible. There’s lots of taxis around too including a few wheelchair accessible ones
Access
Sensory rooms!!! Lots of seating. Lifts etc
Toilets
Yes changing place toilets and wheelchair accessible toilets plus showers located In the accessibility Lounge
Staff
