Overview
All areas of the museum are wheelchair accessible.
Transport & Parking
The museum is located on Oxford Road where there are a lot of buses. I didn't see any disabled pays near by. Website states limited parking on Bridgeford Street but I have no idea where this is.
Access
The main entrance is closed so you have to go in through a side entrance. These doors are manual and of a medium weight. There is no call button but there were staff who were near the door and opened it. The entire museum was accessible via the lift. There were small ramp like thresholds throughout to allow wheelchair access. There was some seating however the website does state they also have portable seats and wheelchairs available but I did not see these. There was a lowered counter in the till but it was covered in stuff. I also saw emergency evacuation equipment at the top of the stairs. I could see everything in the museum although some things are hire than others so it depends on your wheelchair/height.
Toilets
There were three accessible loos but I only visited two as one was in the basement. The toilets were basic with silver rails around the toilet and sink. The loo on the third floor was bigger than the one on 1st floor. No changing places toilet. According to the website Manchester Aquatic Centre and Manchester Royal Infirmary have a changing places toilet.

Watch out for the bus gates on the road outside - this is a pretty confusing and badly signed scheme where cars aren’t allowed and I have heard of a few people being fined :(
