Overview
We had a tasty lunch in the restaurant where there was plenty of room for a wheelchair between the tables.
Transport & Parking
There is a very big tarmac car park which is all level. My photo only shows half of it so you can get an idea of how big it is, although it is shared with the Premier Inn next door. Outside the door there are about six blue badge spaces and more to the left as the photo shows. We were impressed that there were signs asking you to report to reception any cars using the spaces which did no have a badge on display. All customers have to enter their registration number on a computer at the door.
Access
The entrance and inside are level. There are two sets of doors which are quite heavy and they do not have hooks to hold them back. There was a lot of room between the tables and the one we were at was well designed for wheelchairs so my relative could get close in and get her knees under. I don't know if they are all like this, but we've never had any difficulty in the past. You have to order at the bar, but the staff were so pleasant I'm sure they would help anyone needing assistance.
Toilets
The toilet needs a RADAR key which is probably just as well as the standard toilets are up a long flight of stairs. Although there is a right angled turn to get in, there is plenty of space to do this. At one time things were stored in the corridor (I think high chairs) but it's been clear every time we've been there recently which makes it much easier. There is plenty of room for a wheelchair user and assistant. I'm not sure if there was a red cord - as I accompany my relative I don't always notice - but I don't see one on my photo.
Staff
We were served by a very pleasant lady who I think might have been the manageress. A very cheerful, friendly young man cleared the plates. The lady (she has short hair to help her identify herself) helped another couple with their desserts, even though you don't normally order at the table.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The restaurant is just off the main road from Glasgow to Loch Lomond. On the same complex there is a Costa and a Starbucks as well as a garage which has concessions for Greggs and Subway.
