Overview
My brother who has profound and multiple learning disabilities and I work here as volunteers.
Transport & Parking
There is limited parking available, disabled badge holders are able to park on the yellow lines on the road directly outside the shop or in one of the few designated MIU parking spaces that are located at the top of the ferry terminal car park.
Access
There is a ramp, wide automatic door and a lift (or stairs) to access the shop which is on the first floor. The door to the lift operates manually if you have trouble opening it yourself you can call the shop on 01854 612702 and someone should be able to come down to assist you. Some of the team are Makaton sign language users.
Toilets
The shop doesn’t have toilets for the public to use but there is a Changing Places toilet in the ferry terminal car park with its own designated parking space. Male, female and standard accessible toilets are located up a flight of stairs above the changing places toilet, which can be accessed from Argyle street without the stairs.
Staff
We’re obviously biased but we think everyone is friendly.
