Overview
Not sure what to expect other than some wax figures our visit turned out the be a fab experience.
Transport & Parking
If arriving by Blackpool Tram access is good as the stop is right outside the door. Other modes of transport might be more challenging although there is a car park with accessible parking bays around the back; approximately 300 metres.
Access
When we arrived my friend and I were able to take our Personal Assistants in our tickets. We had plenty of time to move around the exhibits at out own pace and could get up close to the majority of the exhibits. The displays are set across several floor levels with a large cargo lift connecting some and a much smaller single wheelchair lift linking the last levels (note - this lift would not accommodate many powerchairs so best to check in advance).
Toilets
There was a large accessible loo on the first level with access via a RADAR key.
Staff
Staff were superb. Helping us with the lifts and directions.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We had a great time and took loads of photos. There was plenty of space to move around with my powerchair. The directions were easy to follow and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable.
