Overview
My husband and I had a lovely canal holiday on this well-adapted boat. I am in a wheelchair and we took my manual wheelchair so that we have had more flexibility. We took our dogs to and they had a fun time The Llangollen canal is quite exciting with Tunnels and aqueducts. The canal boat owners were doing extra cleaning because of covid 19 and therefore we felt covid safe The staff explaining how to use the boat were very friendly and very enthusiastic all in all a great holiday.
Transport & Parking
The Venue is a long way out in the countryside and and we were glad we had used the toilet before we arrived. The car park and access to the boat were perfectly ok for a wheelchair
Access
The canal boat had a portable ramp which allowed easy access for a wheelchair from the bank onto the boat. To get into the boat there was a hydraulic lift which was perfect
Toilets
The toilet and wet room were easily accessible though maybe not enough grab rails. I felt safe using the toilet and wet room
Staff
We met a volunteer for the trust called Chris and he took us through how to use the boat etc he was very friendly and enthusiastic
