Overview
Wheelchair friendly café with friendly and helpful staff Selection of gluten free food options and oat milk available Dog friendly (not just assistance dogs) In the outdoor area of the garden centre the concrete flooring was a bit uneven in places and had slopes so I needed a hand pushing my manual wheelchair. Inside some of the displays where a bit too close together to fit a wheelchair through; not helped also but the support beams which block wheelchair access
Transport & Parking
A fairly good number of Blue Badge parking spaces and we managed to get parked fine and there was plenty of room to get my wheelchair out of the car and for me to transfer.
Access
No steps but some o the ramps where a bit steep. All on one level. I could see everything I wanted to though I did have my Dad at hand to reach for things. The service counter was at an acceptable hight. Seating in the café.
Toilets
There was an accessible loo with radar key access. Room to manoeuvre my wheelchair and for a carer to come in. Grab rails. The emergency red cord was tucked behind the pipes but it was hanging to the for so I freed it, unfortunately I left my red cord cards at home. It was found clean and tidy.
Staff
Staff where friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It's a nice garden centre and plenty of variety of indoor and outdoor plants, gift and homeware section. Plenty to look at. The café was lovely. I'd defiantly visit again. Signage could be improved upon and having access to wheelchair shopping trollies.
