Quick visit during Covid & winter times
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
I have visited Loudons a couple times before but on this occassion I used the toilet facilities so feel I could give a stronger review.
Transport & Parking
I came by bus - there is a Lothian bus stop directly outside the restaurant and buses regularly pass going to and from the city centre. The Fountainbridge area is close to Haymarket and some parking on side streets.
Access
The door to get in is not automatic and quite heavy to push on your own. In better weather I believe it is kept open. It is all on one level and there are no steps or ramps inside. There are some low softer seats to relax in or regular dining chairs and tables to sit at. There are a lot of seats on the restaurant floor so it can get crowded and difficult to maneovre when the place is busy.
Toilets
The accessible toilets are at the far side of the restaurant. You have to slalom between a few tables to get to it.
Staff
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The tables are more spaced out because of social distancing measures and all staff members are wearing masks. You are encouraged to wear a mask whenever you are not sitting at your table.
