Overview
Access to and around the station was good. The help from the information desk and in boarding the train was seamless.
Transport & Parking
A busy station served by accessible buses and taxis.
Access
Although not one of the most modern stations it was level access, the staff were good, and there was a good accessible toilet.
Toilets
An accessible toilet is located just off the main concourse. A quick enquiry at the information desk and they will tell you where it is. The door has a RADAR key, it is super spacious, has grab rails, and is clean and tidy.
Staff
Staff were excellent. Reported to the information desk to get pre-booked assistance to board the train (ramps required). Was told which platform to make my way to and where it was. At the platform I was met and taken through the barrier and onto the platform. The ramps were set to board the train, the wheelchair space shown to me, and the boarding assistant notified the guard of my presence and rang ahead to alert my destination station.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It would be great if all railway stations could be as good!
