Overview

Yesterday evening I was supposed to go on the Bateau London Dining cruise to celebrate my 80th birthday. Unfortunately my mobility scooter completely broke down so that I was unable to board. We were then left on the Embankment in the hopes of hailing a London Taxi. We were very worried as the reviews we had read were not encouraging! We must have been two of the luckiest people in London! The first taxi we hailed pulled in immediately. The driver was FANTASTIC. Helped me into the cab and then loaded all the bits of the dismantled scooter. Took us to our hotel and then did the whole lot again in reverse - even getting down on all fours at one stage in an effort to help me out of the cab. Didn't get his name - just his licence number and I want to let the licensing authority know how brilliant he was. Would not even take the tip I wanted to give him. Said he was 'Just doing his job'. Help please - how can I contact the licensing people to let them know how good he was? Diana
