Overview
We quickly passed through the ferry terminal on our way to Mull and remained in the minibus while we waited to board the ferry. Sorry for the lack of photos but we were to remain aboard our vehicle as it was getting ready to board. The photo at the top of the review page is accurate. The large white building is Lochaline Social Club and it has a permanent ramp to its entrance door. The smaller white building is the toilet block with steps leading up to it and no accessible toilets.
Transport & Parking
We came by minibus and I am unsure if there is a bus service from here. There was a small car park but we remained on the road, in the queue waiting to board. I have no idea about accessing the ferry terminal by public transport on the mainland.
Access
There is the Lochaline Social Club with a permanent ramp to its entrance door. However, I have no idea about opening hours or if the public can use it or if it is a private members club. There is some picnic style benches outside it.
Toilets
There is no accessible toilet. However, there is an accessible toilet on the ferry. There is a small toilet block. It's a small white building by the road. It is on a slight hill/ raised bank and there are about 6 steps with handrail only on one side up to it.
Staff
There was no staff about.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There are limited facilities here, but given that this is a good ferry service and knowing that there was an accessible toilet on board the boat it was ok. However, an accessible toilet by the terminal would be very helpful.
