Overview
Although the Palace and Peel are the main attractions, if you just want a pleasant hour or so exploring you can do worse than just accessing the good pathways around most of the loch, although not the full way round realistically for wheelchair and scooter users.
Transport & Parking
St Ninians car park on the west of the town has several disabled bays right beside the loch. You will need a car as public transport is awkward.
Access
From the car park you can access the loch side paths easily , turn right to head up to the Palace , turn left to head around the loch with great views on to the Palace itself. Some inclines to negotiate but not bad. Some bench seating at intervals around the paths. At the east end of the path wheelchair and scooter access becomes difficult due to a gate and the path surface isn't great but from the car park to this point paths are good and will take you 45 minutes anyway.
Toilets
Loo is located at the car park near the children's play area and is accessible to wheelchairs. There are no facilities around the loch itself.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
On a pleasant day accessing this loch side path from the car park and taking a picnic and enjoying the views is a very nice way to compliment a visit to the Palace and Peel. Remember to take your camera and binoculars to enjoy the wildlife too.
