Overview
The elderly buildings of Lindisfarne offered an unexpected opportunity for a stay over for me as wheelchair dependant. The Lindisfarne Hotel - owners Sean and Jackie - were immensely welcoming, friendly and were available to make sure our every need was catered for. They have a car park, a ramp, a downstairs room with plenty of space for my wheelchair and an en suite that needed no more to be done for me to access. There is a raised toilet, plenty of support bars, a roll in shower and chair/stool provided. Breakfast was whatever we required and plentiful. Sean and Jackie were sensitive to anything that we might require of them and made sure we had a wonderful stay. I just wish we could have stayed longer. The icing on the cake was the opportunity to buy their dining room decor - fabulous framed photographs done by their son - to remind us of our stay. We will be back. Thank you Sean and Jackie.
Transport & Parking
A car park is available at the hotel. Be very aware of tide and crossing times - this is an island with a causeway.
Access
There is a ramp at the front door. There was plenty of space to move around in my wheelchair. There is one downstairs accessible room.
Toilets
The en suite was easily accessible with raised toilet, grab rails, roll in shower and shower chair and stool.
Staff
Sean and Jackie own and run the hotel. They are welcoming and friendly with typical northern humour. They could not be more helpful and wanted to be sure at all times that we had everything we needed.
