Overview
Thought provoking place to visit. Amazing to see the size and scale of Abraham Lincoln. Also incredible to look out over the Reflecting Pool and to the Washington Monument. The Lincoln Memorial is part of the National Mall in the middle of Washington DC and you can get to many of the other memorials that are nearby very easily.
Transport & Parking
We found transport pretty great in Washington DC - the metro has many accessible stations and the nearest station is Foggy Bottom.
Access
Great access - there is a lift that brings you up to the main section. This is where you find the giant memorial to Lincoln and the words of the Gettysburg address on the walls. From here you can also see the Washington monument at the other side of the Reflecting Pool.
Toilets
Didn't use.
Staff
Very helpful Park Rangers - and willing to take photos too!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It's free to visit the Lincoln Memorial. Also I believe that Park Rangers have access to Braille and Large Print copies of the Gettysburg Address.
