Overview

When visiting the centre for life, I was frilled to see the level and though that had went into the design and working of the attraction for disabled users access, enjoyment and ability to get involved in activities inside the building. The centre for life is a fully accessible venu for all indivudals and was happy to welcome disabled users in.

Transport & Parking

As the centre for life is in a busy city, as expected the car parking is limited on site. Luckily for myself I attended the venue with a blue badge holder so we were able to park on site however this had to be prearranged on request to the visit which we thankful looked into the parking before attending. There was a fully accessible car park located close by to the venue called Times Square Car Park opposite the Jurys Inn hotel. The venue is also very close by to the train station and metro

Access

I couldn't fault the disabled access at all. There was Level access throughout with lifts to all floors aswell as ramps and induction loop connecting to all floors special designed for disabled access. Throughout the venue there were interactional elements which welcome disabled users. For instant, when looking around the exhibitions, there were lower objects for disabled users to enable them to be involved and able them to reach and touch surrounding objects on display. The centre for life, also consisted of a motion simulator which has fab, that offered disabled access through a use of a ramp into the seat, along with Wheelchair spaces available in a number of Theatres in the venue .No issues at all this access on our visit.

Toilets

There were disabled toilet facilities on all floors which were clean and very spacious.

Staff

The staff were very pleasant and friendly making sure we knew where all the toilets etc were located. The staff present to be very positive and well-informed about what was going on in venue and what they thought we would enojy doing.

Overall great family day out, stress and worry-free. Highly recommend
