This venue is 20 mins walk from the Railway Station and mostly on the level. The Life Centre is fully wheelchair accessible throughout.

I did not use any parking facility as I went by train. There are plenty of buses in the town, a good taxi service but only a 20 minute walk from the station.

Access

There is no problem with accessing and moving round the venue. There is a lift to upper floor and also a ramp connecting the floors. I mainly visited the Planetarium and the Science Theatre, both of which were wheelchair friendly. All café areas are also wheelchair accessible. There is a big area with lots of computer games and these are mainly fully accessible.

There are accessible loos and the one I used was a Changing Places loo which was lovely and clean. There was space for a carer.

All the staff were helpful and wanted you to have a good time. I paid for entrance but my carer went in free of charge.

I would certainly recommend a visit to this venue, and it particularly caters for young children and teenagers.
