Overview

They said some of their boats were accessible, and they were! Glad I got to go on this enjoyable tour.

Plenty of accessible buses stopping at the busy port area.

The staff were well trained to put in place the ramp extension to the gangway, and I drove my scooter onto the boat with no problems. If I'd wanted to go inside, they also offered me the option of a small ramp to roll over the lip at the threshold of the door. However, I could see that my fairly large scooter was going to struggle with the angle of entry, so I decided to stay on the open deck. If you want to go to the upper deck, you'll have to take the stairs, but I had a great view from where I was so didn't feel I was missing out.

I didn't need the loo - the tour was only about 40 minutes - so I'm afraid I didn't check if they had an accessible one.

I didn't need much from them apart from putting ramps in place, but they were competent and polite.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Like many things in Barcelona, it came as a pleasant surprise that I could take part in this tour as a wheelchair/scooter user, and I was so glad I did it, because it was really interesting to look around the port and over to the views of the city. It was one of the highlights of my visit. Not all the Golondrinas boats are accessible, but it looked like the ones that could take wheelchairs were available in quite a few tour timeslots, and it was straightforward to find out this information at the ticket kiosk. (The catamarans are the accessible ones). I thought the information about where to find the tours wasn't that great on their website, so my tip is to find the Nelson's Column-style statue of Christopher Columbus (Colom in Catalan), and you'll be able to see the Golondrinas kiosk and boats from there.
