Overview
A handy train station in Larbert linking up Stirling with Glasgow and Edinburgh. Slower trains than the main Edinburgh to Glasgow line, but all journeys well under an hour. Good ramped access and decent parking at this station.
Transport & Parking
Accessible parking bays at each platform and step-free access to ticket desk and machines. There are bus stops nearby, although buses are not very frequent. Taxi ranks are also at both platforms, and on-street parking is available if car parks are full.
Access
Access is generally good, although ramp access to platform one is outside only; there are no platform lifts. All ramps are wide and gradual, and there is an indoor bridge connecting both platforms (which is handy as the ticket desk is only on platform one). There is a lowered counter at the ticket desk and doors are push pad automated. There are loud, clear audio announcements at this station too.
Toilets
I did not use the toilet facilities at this station, however there are public toilets beside the ticket desk above platform one.
Staff
Staff are always very friendly at this train station.
