Overview
This is a very interesting museum telling the history of lighthouses in Scotland with various lights etc on display. There is a cafe on the upper floor with soup, light snacks & homebakes. There was no lift but the stairs are manageable & there is a chair lift.
Transport & Parking
There is a good accessible car park just outside the museum entrance with disabled parking spaces.
Access
There is no steps, there is a small shop just inside where you pay your entry fee. There are ramps throughout the museum so is easily accessed. As mentioned before there is a stairlift to the upper floor and cafe.
Toilets
Not very big but adequate.
Staff
Very friendly & helpful. There were workmen in when we visited& they were very careful & helpful when we passed them. The lady in the shop told us about the stair lift & a member of staff from the cafe came to take me up in that.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A very interesting visit, with lovely people to help.
