Overview
excellent access to nearly all shops and attractions. Very flat, a few cobbles but otherwise a good place to spend a day shopping and meeting up with friends.
Transport & Parking
Lots of pay and display places at the St James car park be aware you have to pay but there are places inside and out. You must use your blue badge or you will be fined!! Also right next to ShopMobility if you want to hire a scooter or a chair. Not used it but there is a CallConnect bus which goes out and about to the villages and has wheelchair capacity. It drops off at Shopmobility. There is also lots of on street parking but remember to use your blue badge and that you are limited to just 3 housrs
Access
I only down mark this because there are some cobbles and just a few shops that are not easily accessible. Otherwise smooth and easy to get about. Most shops very helpful. Marks and Spencer is accessible through the Saturday Market door.
Toilets
The are loos at the St James car park, one in upstairs in Debenhams and one in Greg's. I am sure there are others but I always think of these as they are nicely spaced around the centre of town.
Staff
everyone has been helpful except in the Fent Shop where they are particularly grumpy about getting stuff from upstairs. No lift.
