Accessible and excellent sustainable fish restaurant with hugely helpful staff
Visit date:
Overview
Easy drop off, easy access from wide pavement to a readily accessible interior with staff able and ready to help access to a busy but not too crowded mainly, but not only, fish restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. Good disabled toilet facilities.
Transport & Parking
I arrived by car and we parked easily nearby. But also near many bus stops, underground station and flat walking areas around the Theatre Royal. Even includes a beer garden, which is readily accessible.
Access
There is a flat pavements outside and then through wide doors into a flat restaurant interior with staff willing and able to negotiate any tables in a pleasantly busy but not overcrowded restaurant with good height tables and sufficient room to turn in a manual wheelchair to become comfortable. Some areas were booths. But we had easily accessible tables. was accompanied also by people using sticks and noticed two other guests who clearly found the venue accessible with a walking aids.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet. It's a tight turn to get into the toilet, but it was a good size once in and accommodated both myself and carer. Very clean, tidy, well appointed and robust. Toilet at comfort height. All grab rails solidly attached. Mirror and hand dryers readily usable. Pleasantly decorated and sweet smelling!
Staff
The staff could not have been more helpful, accommodating and thoughtful. Welcoming and assisting with seating, even accommodating food presentation for those with issues of manual dexterity. Cheery and bright as well.
