A Kellockbank lunch visit
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Sign Language, Wheelchair, Powerchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
We met our friends for a late lunch and a cuppa and fancy piece. My friend and myself are both disabled, one wheelchair and one mobility scooter. We both went with our husbands and there was so much room to manoeuvre around the shelves of the shop along with the staff being extremely helpful especially in the restaurant.
Transport & Parking
We drove by car. There is only 2 disabled bays by the front door but there is no chevrons to mark the spaces so had to park elsewhere as another vehicle had parked between the two bays.
Access
There are no steps at all. All accessible throughout the whole shop and restaurant. There are two doors at the front which the mobility scooter went through fine. It was easier for the wheelchair to go through backwards. There is no lift as it is all accessible with a small ramp going down into the shop. There is a disabled toilet but we didn’t use it at this visit.

Staff
The staff were friendly and helpful. When being allocated a table they made sure there was room for wheelchair and mobility scooter. They also asked if there was any allergies for the whole table to make Kitchen aware.
