Overview
Upon arrival to the venue, I discovered that there was no sign for disabled access. When discovering this, we had to ask the general manager to take us to the other side of the building because what we thought was accessible (where the box office was) was not actually accessible since both of the lifts weren't working. They assured us that they would be fixed as soon as possible. When trying to access the auditorium too I discovered I'd be paying £15 to be sitting at the back where I couldn't see the act. Not great as I wanted to write a fringe show review too! When going to get my refund, I gave the staff some helpful tips and tricks for dealing with future customers. They need to think when they're converting this place into a fringe venue that it is accessible, and if not to get in contact with customers who are making the bookings so that they will be contacted to move the booking to a different day or refund. The staff were receptive to this feedback.
Transport & Parking
I had to park on Richmond street, just down from Pleasance. Getting a parking space was easy enough, pretty close by, about 200-300 yards down the road.
Access
Both lifts broken. They were going to place me at the back so I wouldn't have been able to see everything I wanted. Not well signposted. Hardly any signage.
Toilets
There was one disabled loo at the bar.
Staff
The staff were receptive to my feedback.
